Abby and Pete, Sorrento, June 2017

Abby and Pete married on a bright sunny day in June and were surrounded by a large number of friends and family who had all made the trip to Sorrento to share their most special day.

The wedding ceremony was held in the charming gardens of the Museo Correale di Terranova, situated in the heart of Sorrento. The gardens offer a tranquil place in which to legally marry away from the hustle and bustle of the main touristy parts of the town and feature a pretty citrus grove which leads on to a terrace overlooking the sea and offering a wonderful view of the Bay of Naples. After the beautiful ceremony, guests mingled in the gardens for a prosecco reception whilst the newlyweds enjoyed a few moments with their very talented photographer Francesco Quaglia.

The new Mr and Mrs Waters left the ceremony in a stunning black convertible beetle wedding car to head up to their chosen reception location Relais Blu.

Relais Blu is a boutique hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant situated in a green luxurious Mediterranean shrub garden at the very tip of the Sorrentine peninsula, a short drive from Sorrento itself. Offering the most spectacular views of Capri, it is one of the most panoramic hotels on the coastline.

On arriving at Relais Blu guests were greeted on the rooftop with canapés and drinks and were wowed by the incredible views offering more incredible photo opportunities.

A sumptuous three course dinner followed on the Capri Terrace where the tables were dressed with white linens and elegant white flower table centrepieces in glass bowl vases. There were some lovely touches added by the bride and groom such as sparklers, polaroid station and personalised guestbook. The party continued into the late evening with the cutting of the cake and drinks and dancing poolside of Relais Blu’s incredible infinity pool.

With special thanks to : Francesco Quaglia, Jimena Puy and Giovanni Castellano.
