Joanne and Will married on a hot summer’s day in July at the magical Cloisters of San Francesco in the heart of Sorrento, followed by their wedding reception at the beautiful panoramic boutique hotel Relais Blu.
Joanne’s preparations began with talented hair and make-up artist Jimena Puy ensuring all of the bridal party looked picture perfect.
Once ready, Joanne, her mother and Granddad were collected in a stunning white beetle wedding car and left for the ceremony at the Cloisters of San Francesco.
After an emotional and uplifting ceremony (which included Will reciting his vows in Italian – impressive stuff!!) the newlyweds exited the Cloisters and guests showered them with fresh petal confetti. Outside the Cloisters they had an incredible restored ape on site with prosecco and fresh Italian cakes for all of their guests. A great touch which certainly added a touch of Italian glamour and fun to the special day!
The new Mr and Mrs Stones then enjoyed some time in Sorrento with their amazing photographer Francesco Quaglia before heading up to their reception venue.
Relais Blu is a small luxury hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant situated in a green luxurious Mediterranean shrub garden. The views from this incredible hotel are unrivalled and include the Island of Capri and its Faraglioni, Ischia, Procida and Vesuvius.
Guests enjoyed welcome canapés and drinks on the roof terrace with the most stunning backdrop. Dinner took place on the Capri terrace and concluded with speeches evoking a lot of laughter and emotional moments and some hilarious old photos of Will 😉 Just after the speeches the cutting of the stunning three tier wedding cake took place.
After dinner the newlyweds and guests moved to enjoy drinks and dancing by the infinity pool.
Thank you Jo and Will for letting us be a part of your special day, we miss your wonderful sense of fun and look forward to seeing you again here in Sorrento soon.
